How to use
- 1
Upload a roughly square logo (PNG or SVG recommended).
- 2
Choose background (transparent or colour), padding and fit, then check the small-size previews.
- 3
Click "Download ZIP", put the files in your site root and paste the HTML snippet into <head>.
When to use it
Unsure which sizes you need
Tabs use 16/32, shortcuts 48, iPhone 180, Android 192/512; all are generated.
WordPress site icon
Upload the 512 px PNG from the ZIP.
Convert a PNG logo to ICO
You get a real multi-size .ico file.
Good to know
- Fine detail disappears at 16 px; a simple symbol or initial works best.
- Apple touch icons look better with a solid background than transparency on iOS.
- Change the name in site.webmanifest to your site name.
FAQ
Do I still need an ICO file?
Modern browsers read PNG icons, but some browsers and tools still request /favicon.ico directly, so include it.
What about non-square images?
"Contain" adds padding to show everything; "Cover" crops from the centre.
Is anything uploaded?
No. All sizes are generated in your browser.
