When to use it
Mark a PDF as CONFIDENTIAL
Red text at 20% opacity on a 45Β° diagonal stays visible without hiding content.
Non-Latin text breaks in other tools
Text is placed as an image, so every script renders correctly.
Label a submitted copy
Tile "COPY" across the page to discourage reuse of cropped sections.
Good to know
- 15β30% opacity is visible without hiding the text underneath.
- Tiled layout makes it harder to crop out a clean section.
- The watermark is placed as an image on top of each page. It deters reuse but is not a security feature.
FAQ
Do non-Latin characters work?
Yes. The text is rendered to a high-resolution image, so any script displays correctly.
Is the original text still searchable?
Yes. Page content is untouched; the watermark is added on top.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Type ranges like "1-3, 5" in the pages field. Leave it empty to apply to all pages.
