When to use it
Windows will not open HEIC
Convert to JPG here instead of installing an extension.
You cannot install software at work
It runs in the browser, no admin rights needed.
Shoot JPG from now on
iPhone Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible.
Good to know
- The converter module downloads once, so the first conversion takes a few extra seconds.
- For Live Photos or multi-image HEIC files, the first image is saved.
- On iPhone, Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible shoots JPG from the start.
FAQ
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The converter runs on your device.
Is location data (EXIF) kept?
No. The output contains no metadata such as GPS location.
Conversion fails.
Some newer HEIC variants or damaged files may not open. Try exporting from the iPhone with the most compatible option.
